Amaranth was a man in the service of the Baron of Casadei from Geso and a member in the company of Windsor Imbra. He was tasked by the baron to bring him Ciri alive. Amaranth and his mates rode to Claremont and entered the Arena where Ciri was forced to fight. Amaramth along with Dreadlocks and Horsehide tried to kill Ciri but the girl managed to kill Dreadlocks and seriously injure Horsehide and Amaranth.
