The Crow Clan was an unorthodox druid group in Skellige led by the mysterious Crowmother. The clan members used crows as messengers, learning even their caw language while pushing their magic beyond what is normally considered safe.
Overview
The Crowmother is the Flaminika and founder of the clan. Her origins vary from being a cast out deity, powerful druid or relic, or even a crow in human form, however she has remained the clan's leader since its founding centuries ago. The clan see her as a maternal figure while outsiders see her as far more frightening due to her monstrous appearance.[1]
They are a very secretive clan who rarely leave their home. When they do, traveling across the isles of Skellige or even across the Continent, they will only say they are being guided by either the Crowmother or crows in general. Despite this however they do still interact with non-clan members to acquire ingredients for their elixirs and to provide local communities with advice for their various needs.[1]
Beliefs
The clan is on a quest for knowledge with crows being the key to obtaining the enlightenment they desire. Part of that belief is that, much like cats, crows can sense and absorb magic as well as peer into realms of reality beyond human perception. They hope to gain this enlightenment through communication with the birds and using their extensive alchemical knowledge to create Crow's Eye Rhizome. A toxic elixir that induces trances to help them communicate with birds. The effectiveness of this is unknown to outsides, although they claim it works.[1]

- Chest: According to legend, the Crow Mother is the oldest and most powerful of the living flaminicas. She leads a mysterious druid clan in the Gedyneith grove. No one knows, including the druids she leads, whether she is merely a human that can speak crow or the spirit of a crow enchanted into a human body. Or maybe she was a powerful crow deity once, ousted by Freya and eventually forgotten? The theories differ. But there's no doubt that the Crow Mother's followers are not afraid to peer into the darkness or reach for the most potent Ofieri decoctions, as opposed to the more restrained and, according to them, more cowardly druids from other circles.
