The goose is a domesticated fowl. One of the most common and widespread domestic animals used by humans primarily as a source of food - both their meat and their eggs are consumable. Male geese are called ganders; females are simply geese. The young are called goslings.
Goose meat, either stuffed or with a sauce, is often prepared in meals, particularly on the holiday of Saovine.[1] Roast goose in pear sauce prepared by halflings is seen as a delicacy.[2]
In 1250s, one of the items sold to adventurers by the gnomish inventor called "Q" in their Novigrad workshop had been poisoned goose feathers.[3]
