Monster egg is a crafting component in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that is needed to craft many witcher gear items.

It can be found in base game monster nests or dismantled from a few monster drops:

• Cockatrice egg
• Endrega embryo
• Griffin's egg
• Harpy eggs
• Wyvern egg

Somewhat oddly, it can also be dismantled from some Wolf School Gear boots and trousers (those listed below), even though none of the boots are crafted with it.
