Mount Carbon is the capital of the dwarven realm of Mahakam and is located in the massif. It is exclusively inhabited by dwarves and gnomes; none of the realm's halflings or bobolaks live in the city.[1] Deep beneath the mountain are workshops, foundries, and forges where, using their advanced technology, the gnomes forge the famous Gwyhyr. The Mahakam Ale Festival is held here every 25 years; it is the only time that outsiders are allowed into Mahakam and Mount Carbon. The only entrance into the city is reached via the Langbridge.[2]
