Ruby is a crafting component that can be dismantled into ruby dust and is needed to craft several items.

While usually restricted to random loot from rich treasures, a ruby can always be found on a few charred corpses near burned down buildings:

• At the ghoul nest west-southwest of Crow's Perch
• At the ghoul nest northeast of the Burned Ruins near Crow's Perch
• At the alghoul guarded treasure southeast of Devil's Pit
• In Mowshurst
• On the peninsula northeast of Olena's Grove

It can be purchased from the following merchants:

• All armorers and blacksmiths, except the one at Ardaiso Quarry
• Armors and weapons merchants in Nilfgaardian Army Group 'Center' Camp
• Merchant in the boatyard south of Refugees' Camp
• Merchant at Calveit Watchtower

• Merchant in Ursten
• Merchant by the road west of White Eagle Fort
• Merchant at the sawmill northeast of Rannvaig
