Stinger is a Cursed One class monster featured in The Witcher: Monster Slayer. It is vulnerable to silver and fire. The monster resembles a shrivelled corpse of a woman with a hornet nest placed in her stomach. The head is covered by a sack. Strings with bells are wrapped around the creature's body, which may be a reference to a medieval practice of marking leprosy victims. The monster deals damage through hornets, which swarm the player character. It is not specified how does one become a stinger, nor if the curse can be lifted.

Other variations

Hiver

It is a low level, common variation of the stinger. Its face is partially uncovered, and it has fewer bell strings around its body.

Swarm Mother

It is an extreme level, legendary monster. It has an unique head covering - a beekeeper's hat worn over a torn veil. The Swarm Mother was a final monster of Lammas event in the game.
