Velen longsword is a steel sword in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and comes in 3 different forms:

Crafting Requirements 
Min. Required Level: Amateur blacksmith
Velen longsword (common)
It can be found as random loot, and is a very common drop from human enemies in the Velen area. It can also be purchased from the following merchants:
- All base game blacksmiths
- Merchant at Calveit Watchtower
- Merchant at the Isolated Hut on Hindarsfjall
- Merchant by the road west of White Eagle Fort
- Weapons merchant in Nilfgaardian Army Group 'Center' Camp
- Zoltan Chivay during The Battle of Kaer Morhen (dependent)
- Merchant in Stacheier
Velen longsword (master)
This version of the sword can also be found often as random loot or enemy drops, but it has three specific locations where it is guaranteed:
- On a dead soldier's body to the left of the White Orchard griffin's nest.
- On a charred body in the burned down building near the broken road gate west of the village in White Orchard.
- On a burned body in Mowshurst (north of Reardon Manor), where Out of the Frying Pan, into the Fire takes place.
- On a dead soldier's body near a shrine north of The Orphans of Crookback Bog, just south of a nearby ruined house.
It can also be purchased from all merchants who sell the Common version.
