Agnes[]

Agns is a maid assigned to the direct service of the princess during her stay at Maribor Castle. She is part of the small circle of people allowed to approach the princess during the period when she is kept away from the court to avoid rumors.

Angus[]

Angus was the marshal of Temeria of Hugo of Rivia, grandfather of King Foltest, he left no heir and his line died out several decades ago.

Fulko[]

Fulko was a Redanian prince who was arranged to be married to Frisanna, the second daughter of Prince Jurkast of Maribor.

This marriage was to ensure lasting peace between Redania and Temeria. Unbeknownst to the Redanians though, Frisanna died shortly before the wedding was to take place so Jurkast had his first daughter that many didn't know of, a dryad named Woédgláeddyv, take on Frisanna's identity.

Gilbert of Lockslee[]

Gilbert of Lockslee was a military commander with a force of about a thousand cavalry that served Prince Jurkast of Maribor.

He was considered the founder of the War Party, a political movement in favor of continuing the conflict against Redania and the leader of the League of Wespertyla.

Jean-Luc Villon[]

Jean-Luc Villon was count Michael de Noailles' court cook. He wrote a work on Nilfgaardian culinary customs.

Kreyer[]

Kreyer led the Fire branch of the Wespertyla League. He also benefited from the support of a renegade mage, whose skills were used during secret operations.

Lanval Yoell[]

Lanval Yoell was a count and the Redanian ambassador to the Temerian court. Renowned for being an extremely skilled diplomat, he was known for analyzing all political possibilities before making a decision.

Lelinka[]

Lelinka was Kuśtyk's daughter.

She was supposed to marry a woodcutter named Julian, from the village of Twardechłopy. However, she was in love with Sherg and with whose assistance she helped draft a letter demanding the return of the dowry.

Madame de Corpido[]

Madame de Corpido is an elderly lady-in-waiting responsible for accompanying and watching over the princess. She notably supervises the young girl's education in the rules of etiquette, good manners, and the customs of the nobility. Her role also consists of maintaining appearances in front of visitors and teachers.

Sherg[]

Sherg was a half-elf and a former member of Yanos' Merry Band.

After a quarrel with Yanos, Sherg set off on his own, eventually coming across a cave that was inhabited by an old and sick manticore. After a fight with it, the creature dies. Sherg then used the manticore's skin to disguise himself and attack travelers, posing as the "Cave Monster". However, this caused a contract to be put out on the "monster", resulting in Sherg being seriously injured during a confrontation, but is left alive.

Simon[]

Simon was a falconer in the service of Prince Jurkast of Maribor.

He was present thirteen years ago at the disappearance of Eatewedd and Minneluned.

Svarte Funkerheall[]

Svarte Funkerheall was a Nordling mercenary active before Northern Wars. During his adventures he fought, among others, another mercenary named "Kacper of the Mountains" and a grey-skinned giant.

Terprise of Bremervoord[]

Terprise of Bremervoord was a dance teacher hired to instruct the princess in the art of dance and court ceremonies. Shortly after his arrival in Maribor, he was assassinated by Carlos, who then took his identity in order to infiltrate the princess's entourage.

von Trauben[]

von Trauben was the general and commander of the princely forces of the Principality of Maribor.

He was an excellent general and a good commander but an impulsive and violent man who resorts only to brute force.

Woderic[]

Woderic was a Gemmeran coastal duke living in the 12th century. He was murdered by his brother Ponderic.
