Morholt was Woodcutter Jacob's dog who, in 1275, came across a bleeding tree while working.

If Geralt threatens the witch: she'll release Daphne's spirit, who'll possess Morholt and kill Jacob, forcing Geralt to kill the wolf.

If Geralt asks the witch politely and does it himself: Jacob and Morholt both survive.

• Morholt will react slightly different to Geralt depending how he first comments to Jacob. If he found the posting, Morholt will start to growl at Geralt but Jacob will tell the wolf to heel and he'll stop. However, if Geralt finds them and makes a sarcastic comment, Jacob will let Morholt growl and bark at the witcher.
