A trebuchet is a Northern siege weapon who makes use of the mechanical advantage of a lever.
In Nilfgaard, during the Second Northern War in 1267, the cost of one of these engines was roughly 200 florens.[1]
In 1271, trebuchets were used by King Foltest's army to siege the La Valette Castle.[2]
Notes
- In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a broken trebuchet can be found southwest of Oxenfurt, near some monster nests.
