Summary
Separated from Yennefer and Ciri, Geralt begins hunting the mage Rience and travels with Jaskier to the law firm Codringher and Fenn, hoping to uncover the identity of Rience's mysterious master. His search leads him to the ruined fortress of Vuilpanne, where Geralt kills a horrific, stitched-together monster and rescues a strange young girl who looks exactly like Ciri.
Meanwhile, Yennefer guides Ciri toward Aretuza, using covert portals and teaching the girl to control both her chaos and her darker visions. On their journey, Ciri saves a child with the help of her premonitions, and Yennefer reveals painful truths about her own past and magic training.
Elsewhere, Redania and Nilfgaard maneuver for power. Jaskier encounters Prince Radovid, forging an unexpected bond, while mages Philippa and Dijkstra scheme from the shadows. In Nilfgaard, Fringilla suffers punishment and Cahir is forced to obey despite his disgrace, as political alliances begin to shift.
The episode ends with Rience murdering Codringher and Fenn, destroying their records while the mysterious fake Ciri leaves Geralt questioning just how far his enemies will go to control the real princess of Cintra.
