Woodend (Polish: Wola) was a small village that was situated in the Temerian Pontaria region. However, it bordered closely with Riverside, which was controlled by Redania, and thus faced constant shifts in who wanted to control the area, as both kingdoms wanted the fertile land and taxes for themselves.

In early July 1245, Shevlov and his free company passed through here, illegally changing the borders for Redania and threatening the settlers who proclaimed what they were doing was illegal.
