History
Likely in the 1240s, the witcher Geralt of Rivia was contracted by the townsman to kill a leucrote plaguing them for 70 crowns. However, he suffered several wounds killing the beast and was paid only 55 crowns, a dispute quickly solved by a local pen-pusher.[1]

- Cizmar can be translated into "shoemaker" or "cobbler" in both Romanian and Slavic languages borrowed from Ottoman Turkish.
