Stromford[1] is a small, isolated village in the far north.[N 1]
At one point, the village started to sacrifice young girls in the hopes of keeping an evil at bay that lives in the nearby woods. This became tradition over time to the point it doesn't appear many are aware it's a monster that causes their problems, instead believing sacrificing one of their own brings salvation to the village for a time.

Notes
- The town name is revealed in The Witcher 4 reveal trailer, but its exact location is still pending, having not been fully decided on yet by CD PROJEKT RED.
- It's implied in the breakdown trailer by Director Sebastian Kalemba that the village will be in the game along with a quest related to Mioni.
Footnotes
- ↑ In journalist publications, the name of region is typed in lowercase, hence it's unclear whether the village is located in the Far North (beyond the Dragon Mountains) or merely far in the north of better-known realms (i.e. Kovir or Kaedwen).
