Clovis was a witcher trainee at the same time as Geralt and Gascaden.[1]
Biography
Together with Geralt and Gascaden, Clovis went on a training exercise under the supervision of Osbert. Their exercise took place in the mountains and consisted of them trying to throw Osbert off his horse. Before Clovis could attempt this, Osbert was thrown off his horse by Geralt and landed poorly on his arm, breaking it.
While the trio waited for their replacement instructor, Clovis used some witcher elixirs, which was forbidden without supervision, and he threatened to bash Gascaden with a rock after the latter made a remark about Clovis snitching. They were interrupted by the arrival of Adela and her two fellow witchers. After they left, Clovis made a crude remark to Geralt about what women should be used for, and was punched in the face by Geralt in response.
After returning to Kaer Morhen, the three were sentenced for using witcher elixirs without supervision and for fighting. Their punishment was to stand on pillars for two days and two nights.
Eventually, Clovis would become a full-fledged witcher together with Geralt and Gascaden, receiving his swords, medallion, and herbs.[1]
