Osbert was a witcher instructor of the School of the Wolf at Kaer Morhen.

Biography

Osbert was an instructor at the Wolf School and thus oversaw the training of witcher recruits. On one such training exercise, he went into the mountains with Geralt, Gascaden, and Clovis. One of the exercises they had to perform was to throw Osbert off his horse while he resisted. As was typical of witcher instructors, he showed his pupils no mercy. As a result, the first to attempt it, Gascaden, was left beaten and bloodied. The second to attempt was Geralt. At first, Geralt's evasive maneuvers annoyed Osbert, until Geralt managed to throw him off his horse. Unfortunately, Osbert landed poorly on one of his arms, breaking it. He then returned to Kaer Morhen.

The injury proved so severe that he lost the use of his entire arm and was thus finished as an active witcher, with his training duties being divided among the other instructors.
